He Shall
Be Great...Therefore!

The echo of
the angelic announcement concerning Jesus rings in our ears: "He
Shall be GREAT and shall be called the Son of the Highest!"
By virtue of
the inescapable GREATNESS of our Savior, a resounding "therefore"
rises from my lips today.
We have a GREAT
SAVIOR...
...Therefore
we are encouraged to expect great victories, knowing that great
battles are necessary for conquest, but confident because He is
leading us.
These two "therefores"
provide a focus I ask you to share with me today and throughout
this whole year.
The first has
to do with our faith as believers-moving forward in prayer, intercession,
and giving, because the possessing of possibilities requires it.
The second
has to do with our reach as believers-extending ourselves to touch
others, because He has so mightily touched us with His grace and
goodness.
LET
THIS BE A YEAR OF GROWTH AND HARVEST
-
Growing
in our walk with Jesus-staying close to Him.
-
Growing
in the Word of God-deepening in understanding.
-
Growing
in faith, prayer, and boldness in giving.
-
Growing
in loving, serving, and helping those we can.
-
Reaching
by every means and media to touch our city and town.
-
Touching
the lost in the confidence His power will save.
-
Caring
for people who long for someone who will.
-
Showing
the love of Jesus in ways, which gain us the right to be heard,
so we can tell of His salvation.
Walk
with me and think with me over this thought: There is nothing too
great for us to expect since we have so great a Savior the Lord. |
